• OMB director @russvoughtis why, I unlike so many others, have not been worried about the House passing the DOGE cuts. He’s the one who learned from his time in Trump’s 1st term all the ways “they” would stop reductions in federal spending. He’s been in charge of @DOGE and that’s why it has been allowed to work. It’s his plan and so far his implementation has been stellar, IMHO. On the other hand, I suspect all the outrage almost guarantees the 1st rescission bill will easily pass the House, the Senate (with more than the necessary 51 votes), and Trump signing it will be a major celebration.
