Putin: I consider occupied areas of Ukraine to be Russia and any attempt to reclaim them will trigger a nuclear response. If this principle is allowed to stand, what’s to stop him announcing that he considers Warsaw or Riga or Berlin to be Russia?
- Annexation helped trigger World War II. The world established the United Nations in part to prevent future annexations and encourage decolonization and national inpendence. Putin is now threatening again these core norms of the rules-based international order. He must be stopped. Putin‘s wants you to believe that he wasnt really trying to win his war in Ukraine for the last half year, but now he’s going to really try. Dont believe the spin.
