- During Trumps’ State of the Union he basically demonstrated to everyone, while explicitly stating it, that there is nothing he can do to get them to stand up and cheer. While Trump did win the popular vote, every swing state, and the electoral college, the amount he won by is just barely over that 50% line. If we assume 45-49% are democrats, and they will forever give him a permanent negative review score, then it’s actually amazing if he is able to maintain over 40%, because that means he has over an 80% approval from the people that matter/voted-for-him. Basically the polls are worthless, Trump is doing amazing, and he’ll never get appropriate credit for it because the left is driven by cultists following a psychotic ideology.
