The X post by @rainmaker1973 shares a stop-motion animation depicting how Florida inmates Daisy Link and Joan Depaz conceived a child while held in separate cells at Miami-Dade’s Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
Using the prison’s ventilation system, Depaz wrapped semen in Saran wrap, attached it to a line made from bedding, and passed it through the vent; Link pulled it and self-inseminated using yeast infection applicators.
The pair never met face-to-face, yet paternity was confirmed, with medical experts calling the pregnancy highly improbable but possible after repeated attempts over about a month.
