• I’m from Detroit and third generation in the auto industry. In my career since 1989 I’ve been in 30 assembly plants and many of those no longer exist – shut down years ago, property sold, torn down, and redeveloped. I’ve watched assembly jobs go to Mexico first and progress over decades to now OUR engineering jobs moving to Mexico, China, and Brasil. Am I in favor of tariffs? Do I see benefits to tariffs?
