• The victim didn’t cut in front of her. The victim passed her, she hit her and then the victim passed in front of her to exit the track. Her parents aren’t doing her any favors by not insisting that she owns it and faces the consequences. Bad parenting.
• after doing running 4×100 and 4×400 for 5 years and watching track for 15 years including armature level, never have i seen anyone get whacked in the head by a baton. even as an accident. GUILTY!!!!!!!!!!!
• She should be kicked off the track team and suspended, maybe expelled, and face criminal charges for assault
• Man, that local news channel should be ashamed of themselves. They even went so far as to use a video angle that was not the best to show what happened. That “official” is a complete joke. She WAS trying to block the girl on the outside and when that started to fail she…..moved to the outside to blast the other runner in the head. How can a track “official” not look at that and know it was 100% wrong?? WTF.
• “when I pumped my arms” = liar. A normal arm pump your elbows are bent, arms pulled in to the body, not right arm at full extension with baton held straight out like a club. She should be charged with assault and banned from track events for at least 10 years.
• In the criminal’s “side of it” she talks about how people need to care about “her mental” (assuming she means health.) She shows absolutely no remorse from her actions, and no sympathy toward the person she hit. And yes, that movement of using a metal club to strike the head of another human being was a purposeful wind up and a swing; a completely unnatural motion when running a short race that demands speed.
