A veteran firefighter who has served for a long time rescued two victims in the Turkey earthquake, calling it the most complex operation he has ever experienced. The Mid and West Fire and Rescue Service member spent 17 hours saving a police officer and a woman from an eight-story building in Hatay on Saturday. Despite previous global rescue efforts, Phil Irving claims that every rescue mission is accompanied by sadness and is never easy. The death toll from the earthquake is expected to rise, and local and international teams are struggling to cope with the number of collapsed buildings.
