- I live in upstate NY, an hour and a half north of Albany. 50 years ago when I got home from Vietnam I applied for my concealed carry permit. It took two attempts, $200 and TWO years to get an approval. Now, Kathy Hochel is trying to make nearly the entire state a no carry zone. I would like to see two things happen … 1. Investigate NY concurrently with CA, 2. push for the National Reciprocity. anything less is ludicrous.
