- I’m a resident of NY. We, the statesmen of NY want and deserve constitutional carry and zero restrictions on firearms. Law abiding people will not abuse this RIGHT, bad people will abuse it but more people carrying will slow down violent crime. I’ve had a carry concealed pistol permit for years now. - I live in upstate NY, an hour and a half north of Albany. 50 years ago when I got home from Vietnam I applied for my concealed carry permit. It took two attempts, $200 and TWO years to get an approval. Now, Kathy Hochel is trying to make nearly the entire state a no carry zone. I would like to see two things happen … 1. Investigate NY concurrently with CA, 2. push for the National Reciprocity. anything less is ludicrous.
