In Starmer’s “tough guy” plan, he would be ready to send “boots on the ground and planes in the air.” One catch: only with strong US backing! Ukraine is the fault line where the US and EU/NATO go our separate ways.

Call me a conspiracy theorist, but it’s hard not to look at this and talk from Trudeau, as going along with the great replacement theory. Volunteer young men of your countries to fight an impossible war while simultaneously letting your nation and values be destroyed at home.

Let’s be honest here, it’s not only Ukraine that lost, but also the US, UK, and EU. Russia is a superpower and the US, along with their allies, set up a proxy war that they lost. Period! They would still have lost if they had fought directly against Russia. They are all trying to save their faces talking about deals. The truth is that Zelenskyy should negotiate directly with Russia to end this war. As long as the US, UK, and EU are in this continuous frantic competition to get something out of Ukrainian land, this war can’t come to an end.
This is going to come full circle back to Trump leading the process to peace; however, Zelensky and the Europeans who cannot defend Ukraine have weakened the negotiating position with Putin and they have sentenced 1,000’s more men to horrific deaths. – John Welliver
This “plan” is the most idiotic proposal I heard in decades. It is beyond me how he can step in front of the press and not simply be laughed at. “keep killing each other, but each of you must keep his right hand behind the back at all times” sounds pretty solid …
Then what is the importance of NATO if we treat every country as NATO? UK can do what they want but it’s not a NATO decision so don’t expect the US’s help when your planes are shot down and your men are killed. You on your own.
Europe and socialist Democrats wanted this war. Europe will not stop it. Only U.S. and Russia with a better leader in the Ukraine than Z. Will.
Both Ukraine and the British can suck it. As an Americans I could careless what happens to them. We have our own problems to deal with. Over stupid people who don’t know what they are doing.
European leaders all continue to trade with Russia and import oil, gas, and coal. If they were really serious, they’d address this first. But instead they choose to gaslight our citizens to try to force our leader to throw billions more at a pit. While 1000’s die.
