First quarter growth was revised up to 2.5 percent, and some are expecting the third quarter to come in around 4 percent or higher. The household survey shows 406,000 jobs added last month, right after a 569,000 gain in August. Meanwhile, federal government jobs keep shrinking, which is exactly what we voted for.
