A passenger on the hantavirus cruise ship said the captain told them that the first passenger who died had passed away from natural causes and there was no contagious disease onboard. The passenger who passed developed acute respiratory distress, though his death wasn’t linked to the rare hantavirus until weeks later. Since that first announcement, 2 other deaths have been reported, one of them being the wife of the first reported death.
