Walmart Glitch? SHE JUST DISCOVERED THE DUMBEST PRICING GLITCH IN AMERICA – AND WALMART CAN’T EVEN EXPLAIN IT.

This woman went to Walmart to grab the ink she always buys. It used to be around $40. Today? $79. Same box. Same ink. Then she checks the shelf and sees the entire printer – which comes with that same $79 ink already inside – selling for $64. So the hardware plus the ink is cheaper than the ink alone. She shows customer service the $33 online price and asks them to match it. They tell her: “We don’t honor online pricing. We want people buying online, not in-store.” So Walmart won’t match their own website…the ink costs more than the printer…and she’s left trying to make sense of a system that clearly doesn’t. • HP printers use color ink when printing only black then won’t allow to print black only without refilling the color ink, & won’t let you use cheap alternatives, they require expensive original ink cartridges. It is all a money gouging operation to steal your money. Major ripoff. – Holy Lamb
• When I worked at Staples in the 2000s, people would return printers and we would smash them and throw them into the dumpster because it was more expensive to send them back then inspect it, see what’s wrong and re-merchandise it. Ink is the profit center for printing companies. Printers are a loss leader. Also. The ink that comes in the new printer is not the same volume either. – COB
• Almost everything is cheaper online from Walmart. This is all by design. Other larger chain stores are slowly merging & closing brick & mortar stores. They are slowly funneling us into buying everything from one source. Once that happens, social credit score will follow. – RK
• Yes. Buy the new printer online have it delivered. Then swap the ink and take the new one back to Walmart. Rinse and repeat. – CYP
• That’s when you stand in front of customer service, pull out your phone, buy online and select pick up in store , then sit on the bench and smile at them. If they ask what you’re waiting for, you tell them you’re waiting for your online order to be ready.
