- Two months ago, my 28 year old son was beside himself with anger toward Trump for the imposition of tariffs. He thought it would be a disaster for the markets and plunge the US economy into a depression. I told him that President Trump is doing this for long-term improvements that will set up the US for a generation. I told him to relax and to give it time. Yet, he would not relent in his disapproval. Now, with markets bouncing back, economic agreements with other countries, the defense of our borders, the destruction of DEI, the implosion of the democrat party, etc., etc. He came to me and apologized. Reagan said, “The United States is one generation away from losing its liberty.” Thanks to President Trump, it will not be my son’s generation.
