Im a truck driver. Its a requirement to even test for a CDL to be fluent in written and spoken English. When i got my CDL there were men from different countries, even one from Bosnia, who needed a translator to test. Ridiculous

I’ve been complaining about the trucking issue for years. We’ve allowed foreigners to take over yet another industry! One of the last good paying jobs that don’t require a college degree. It’s awesome that someone is finally addressing the problem.

I work in the logistics industry and can confirm their is a real problem with non English speaking drivers causing havoc. Not only can they not communicate with vendors, shippers, and receivers but, they also can not read road signs and create unsafe conditions on our highways and roads.
