If you’re single and have no kids, you shouldn’t be forced to pay for the public education system – married/parents should pay, all of us single/no kids should get tax breaks from anything like that. Similarly, any govt benefits parents get for childcare should only be paid for by people that have kids – single/no kids shouldn’t have to pay for that in taxes either.
- Tax exemptions for remaining married is a good incentive. further benefits for having children is good. However, as long as either party can leave and financially enslave the remaining party, this will merely delay the inevitable divorce and child custody hearings. Modern women do not understand finances and they do not understand societal issues. Dont believe me, start asking questions.
- Any time the government incentives something it will be abused, also since it involves government it will essentially invite government into your home and it’s only a few steps away from the government claiming a right to raise your children since they pay for them. The answer is not to offset the cost but to identify why it’s expensive and figure out how to remove those obstacles. Just like education and healthcare, throwing money at it obviously isn’t working so figure out why we are throwing money at it and get rid of those things. Everything becomes more affordable without the government having to give money or tax credits
- Absolutely a terrible idea for many reasons. There are too many instances of government offering financial incentives and people abusing the system. What prevents mothers from just giving up their children to foster care and then repeating for more money?
