• I was leaving Killian high school in Miami Dade county in 1977. I came upon several black teens telling another black boy he was trying to be white because he made good grades. 2022 I saw the same situation on the news in Coral Springs Florida high school. That is culture the African Americans need to change so they can excel in school and life.
• I live here in Florida have a 5th grader and I watched, how Florida completely flipped the education standards and instruction over the last several years. 1 example my daughter is learning actual history, not sugar coated the good and the bad! Literally everything has changed for the better.
• A couple of years ago I felt backed into homeschooling. I don’t have a background in education and felt inadequate. But, I didn’t want my kids to be indoctrinated by the woke mind virus. Today, my 5 year old is helping my 3 year old learn how to read. She’s also learning Spanish by teaching herself in English/Spanish books. She completed kindergarten curriculum at 4 and is on track to wrap up first grade before her 6th birthday. Both have their vocabulary words in cursive. My 3 year old is in kindergarten, but doing 1st grade level math. They also have their own gardens, livestock responsibilities and are learning herbal apothecary. They have plenty of time to do things they love, like gymnastics and various social clubs. I now look back and think it was one of the most pivotal moments in my mothering role.
• My wife works for a college in Calif.& she let me know that every high school student entering college in Calif. has to take basic classes ,in college at their own expense, for 1.5 years to catch up,so they can start learning at a college level. The college teaches what should have been taught in high school.These are the “smart ones” supposedly?
• Whoa, whoa, whoa. I just started a job as a carpenter for one of the largest counties in Florida School board. My first week on the job was renovations on a portable at a local camp the school board owns retrofitting it for trans kids. Trans bunkhouses and bathrooms. Blew my mind. A substantial amount of money has gone missing the past 3 years from our School board. How it’s not on the news, even national news, is mind blowing. Probably more money than some districts get at all. I’m sure of it. They have to be paying off local media to keep it from becoming public. If I weren’t on my probationary period I would dox it all myself. And will once I can’t be fired for any reason. It’s absolutely unbelievable.
• My cousin worked at an elementary school in central Indiana for a few years in the teens. Told me they actually have a padded, soundproofed room just for the kids to go nuts punching and screaming when they want to. I mean wtf, we woulda gotten our butts whooped for acting like that just thirty-forty years ago.
