Which is more amusing? To hear CNN’s Davos Boy Richard Quest snootily exclaim “ARRANT NONSENSE!” or hear him snobbishly declare “YOU HAVE NOW TRANSGRESSED!”? The “ARRANT NONSENSE!” came as a result of Quest listening to Natalie Winters on Piers Morgan listing the many transgressions of the Chinese Communist Party trade policies. As you can see, Poor Richard was angrily simmering to a boiling point until he finally burst out with his “ARRANT NONSENSE!”
The other Richard Quest amusing outburst came at Davos in January 2024 when the only outlet reporting real news from the site of the World Economic Forum, Rebel News of Canada, caused him to declare “YOU HAVE NOW TRANSGRESSED!” Such a reaction could have only come from someone who deep down feels guilty for being a complete corporate suckup to the world economic elite in his reporting.
Has “ARRANT NONSENSE!” replaced “YOU HAVE NOW TRANSGRESSED!” in the amusement department? Oh, and why do those phrases only seem to work so well coming out of the mouth of someone with a distinct Davos Boy British accent?
