• DEI has made the airline industry, and every other industry promoting it, more dangerous. The FAA promoted DEI under Biden. Airlines and airplane manufacturers promoted DEI. The damage done by DEI isn’t instantly fixed. It’s an exhaustive process. Thankfully, it’s started. – Paul Szypula
• Agree 100% and it’s pathetic. I’ve heard from many pilots across all US major carriers and they have indicated we have only seen the beginning of a major shit show coming from hiring the “wrong” people to pilot positions based on DEI to fill the shortage. Good grief!!!
• DEI in aviation began under Clinton, not Biden. I left automotive manufacturing because I was fed up with DEI in corporate hiring in 1997. I chose aviation because it is too risky to put non-performance measurement ahead of ability, commitment, and professionalism. By the time I left the airlines in 2017, we were being inundated with trans pilots who put EVERYTHING ahead of safety and performance.
• The guilt & instilled fear was laid on so thick they implemented dei! It’s ridiculous that anybody could think white people were that incredibly racist! Dei put pilots in airplanes because those pilots were a certain race or gender and in these cases a third or fourth gender.
• No, I do not believe that. In 2020 they swooped down on all of us and “overnight,” literally changed every single aspect of our lives, every one. So they absolutely could reverse each & every detrimental deed they did also, overnight. You just undo them, fixing them. Simple.
