- My Tesla has saved us thousands of dollars in energy costs in not quite one year. That’s not just going with the numbers my Tesla provides, but the numbers I calculated myself. We were looking to buy a new car last year, and the Tesla was by far the best value for what we got, and then the monthly energy savings have made it even better. I’m not a fan of the self driving mode in a rural setting, but it was great in the city!
