• Hell we all had it when I was a kid. There was even a 3 day kind, and a 10 day kind. We stayed home, had chicken soup, Jell-O, etc., and went back to school in a few days.
• There’s a similar story for most other health issues…. Once you are sanitary and have good nutrition, many early societal ailments start to rapidly decrease. There’s a reason we see native tribes being healthy and robust without modern medicine. Not to say we don’t need modern medicine now, because our health and genetics have already been weakened to the point of dependence.
• Yep 98-99.6% decrease in mortality for all childhood infections. Hygiene, sewer systems, food regulations, etc… immune systems were no longer being overwhelmed constantly… Imagine your immune system trying to fight at the same time rotten food and feces in the street.
