- I know many life long democrats who are watching these hearings who are absolutely disgusted and embarrassed by the behavior. Many of whom are saying they’re walking away from the party because they don’t recognize it anymore. After the disastrous last admin, these hearings are like the final nail in the coffin.

- Also, they grandstand by speechifying through almost the entirety of their allotted time, ask a question at the last minute, then cut the answer off because “I’m running short on time.” Transparently obvious that it’s a game to them. Democrats are pathetic.
- The hearings are such BS. People are trying to hear what a candidate says in response to queries by the committee….. Why for the love of god do we allow or broadcast them makes no sense as each senator has their own agenda preconcluded. First… 5minutes of questions is not enough time to examine the issues (notwithstanding that many have already had one on one meetings already, so they know what the answers will be) its just so much “theatrics” . 2nd when senator talks over most of the allotted time and then speaks over the candidate’s ability to respond nor even provide an answer is just ridiculous . Some questions, truly, do not have a declarative yes or no answer and the constant bellicose badgering of a candidate only shows the senator in a negative light. I am just appalled at the behaviors witnessed during many of these confirmation hearings.
