Stolen Liberties & Echoes of Freedom Chapter 5

“Luke’s voice was low but urgent, ‘Guys… turn on the TV. Trump’s speaking live on Real America’s Voice, and even Fox is carrying it.’

The room buzzed with a heavy anticipation as everyone settled in, bracing for what they all knew would be a moment to remember. Pat and Beth sat close on the loveseat, Beth’s leg draped over Pat’s, a comforting, instinctual touch in such uncertain times. Ben, as usual, took his place sprawled on the beanbag, a place he’d claimed long ago. Luke and Lisa sat together on the long sofa, his hand resting gently on hers. It was a scene of togetherness, yet every eye was locked on the screen, unified in a shared hope — and dread.

Trump’s speech was, without a doubt, historic. His voice, filled with a familiar, undying conviction, cut through the air with a gravity that demanded everyone’s full attention. He spoke plainly, knowing the stakes: the Marxists were prepared to imprison him, Elon Musk, Steve Bannon, Peter Navarro, RFK Jr. — every patriot was at risk. Even Joe Rogan, who had dared to interview Trump, was in danger. It was a dark time, and everyone in the room felt the weight of it. No one was safe, not in a world where freedom was on the chopping block, and everyone knew that ominous knock on the door would soon come.

“’My fellow Americans,’ Trump began, his voice unwavering. ‘We won the election by a landslide, but once again, the Democrats and the Deep State have chosen to steal it, to rip freedom from the heart of our nation. Our lives, our children’s futures, and the legacy of our Founding Fathers are all in jeopardy. The Democrats have opted for dictatorship, launching a direct attack on our Constitution.’”

Then, without warning, static filled the screen, Trump’s voice replaced by a low hum, and in his place, a smug, controlled Brett Baier appeared, attempting to explain the so-called ‘technical difficulties.’

“’We all know what this is,’ Pat growled, his eyes narrowed. ‘They’re censoring him. Fast, switch to RAV!’ Luke’s arm shot up in a celebratory fist. ‘Yes! Bannon’s War Room still has the feed!’ he said, as they scrambled to Real America’s Voice, praying the signal held. On the screen, Trump stood with Elon Musk by his side, the camera pulling back to reveal the solidarity between them. The message was clear: this was a time for choosing. The nation was at a crossroads.

Trump’s voice grew stronger as he spoke, ‘Will you sit in your homes and wait for that knock at the door? Will you allow them to strip you of your rights, confiscate your firearms, silence your voice? Will our soldiers stand by, obeying orders from a regime bent on our subjugation?’ He paused, pumping his fist as he commanded, ‘No! You will resist. Stand up and fight! Fight, fight, fight!’

The words reverberated through the room, and Lisa and Beth’s eyes brimmed with tears, barely held back. Ben clenched his fist, slamming it into his palm, a silent vow to himself and to his friends. They were all in sync, their spirits fused by the gravity of the moment and the shared resolve to protect their homeland.

“’Tomorrow,’ Trump continued, his voice ringing with purpose, ‘we will gather one last time in Washington, D.C., to peacefully show them that American freedom will not vanish quietly into the night. The Great Marxist Reset will not enslave us. We will resist, with every fiber of our being!’ As Trump’s words grew bolder, the crowd on the screen echoed back, chanting, ‘Fight, fight, fight!’ It was a war cry, and for a brief moment, Pat and the others felt the electric pulse of shared hope. They exchanged glances, each one a silent confirmation: they were ready for whatever came next.

As Trump spoke, his eyes momentarily fixed on the Secret Service agents surrounding him. ‘You know who the enemy is,’ he said, his tone sharpening. ‘They thought they could control me, but they thought wrong. We outnumber them. Remember that. Together, we are unstoppable.’ The atmosphere shifted as a group of Trump’s loyal supporters stepped forward, surrounding the Secret Service agents, their presence a clear message: the tables were turning. Trump’s voice rang out, ‘Stand down. Your services are no longer required.’ And as the agents yielded, the crowd’s roar became a thunderous ovation.

Luke looked at Beth, who clutched her hand to her chest, tears slipping freely now, and she let out a shaky laugh through her emotions. Pat’s eyes shone with a fierce determination, the glint of a soldier preparing for battle.

Trump’s parting words were a rallying cry, ‘We will gather in D.C., but be wise. They’ll be prepared. Spread the word, and do not let censorship silence you. The time to fight is now.’ As the broadcast cut to static, they all sat in stunned silence, the weight of his words heavy in the air.

Luke’s voice broke the silence, rough and resigned. ‘They’ll shut down all independent media next. We’re running out of time.’ Pat nodded grimly. ‘They’ll declare martial law, thinking that’ll be enough to keep us quiet. They don’t realize the storm that’s coming for them.’ Ben shook his head, exasperated but resolved. ‘That’s why Lord Nobama and his puppet Biden have put their lackeys in command across the military. But they’re forgetting something: our loyalty is to the Constitution, not them. Our brothers and sisters in uniform know what’s at stake.’

Suddenly, Beth’s phone rang, a jarring interruption that snapped everyone’s attention. Pat’s eyes darkened as he looked at her, his voice sharp. ‘Why is that even on? You’ve just put us all in danger.’ Shame washed over Beth’s face, her hand going to her mouth. Ben crossed the room swiftly, yanking the phone from her and smashing it to the ground with forceful stomps, silencing it once and for all. ‘There. That’s that,’ he muttered, helping Pat to his feet. ‘No more slip-ups. We’re going dark, and we move now. Satellite phones only from here on out.’ Pat said ‘contact all units, all groups by Sat, get ready, it’s going to blow. We have days at most left’

Everyone nodded, the gravity of the situation settling heavily on them. It was time to go. The fight was on, and this small band of patriots would not back down. As they moved out, the weight of the coming days pressed upon them, yet there was a glimmer of hope. Together, they would fight for their country — and each other.

Hey, Sgt. K here—also known as CK Sheldon. I’ve got one book published on Amazon as part of a trilogy, though only the first is currently available due to editing challenges. I’m working on bringing the other two books back, using ChatGPT to refine them, and I’ll likely add this new book there, too, if there’s interest. Since this isn’t about profit for me, you can always read it here on Whatfinger News for free, complete with the original links.

For anyone interested, my Amazon book is Allfather Saga. Fair warning: it’s a mix of science fiction, politics, and a bit of mature content. And yes, Trump makes an appearance in Book 3, though the story is set far into the future.
