  • The shooting occurred on Wednesday around 9:50 a.m. and was discovered by the police shortly after.
  • Denver Police Chief Ron Thomas has confirmed that a handgun was retrieved during the search and that several shots were fired.
  • The police are currently searching for the 17-year-old suspect who they believe to be traveling in a 2005 red Volvo XC90 with the license plate BSCW10.
  • Local paramedics who were already on-site treating another student were able to quickly begin treating the two injured administrators.
  • According to officials, the shooting took place at the front office of the school, away from other students and staff.
  • The suspect, identified as Lyle, was undergoing a regular morning search before entering the school, as part of a safety plan agreement established due to prior behavioral issues.
  • Lyle had never brought in a weapon before, and the shooting is currently under investigation.
  • The police are seeking the public’s help in locating the suspect, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Denver Police Department.
