Sky News host Chris Smith says it “didn’t take long” for the Taliban to show their “true colours”. Mr Smith referenced a “whole raft of reports” from Afghanistan, that allege peaceful protests have been met with gunfire from the Taliban, and a woman was killed for not wearing a burqa. “So much for heralding women’s rights,” Mr Smith said. “There is no new peace. There is no rights for women or pardons for those who worked for NATO. “They can’t control themselves.”
