The True Pioneers: White Settlers’ Ancient Claim to South Africa Debunks the ‘Stolen Land’ Myth

You can watch the FULL Daily Caller Video on the bottom of this post.

Did you know Whites settled vast areas of South Africa LONG before Blacks.  When were black tribes first encountered in South Africa? This whole stolen land, colonization issue is a lie and a farce. In a compelling video shared above, an Afrikaner advocate dismantles the leftist narrative of “stolen land” in South Africa. Speaking with conviction, he explains that Afrikaners have inhabited the region for over 375 years—longer than the Zulu, the largest Bantu tribe. “Our ancestors first met or encountered what is today described as black South Africans… about 100 years after our arrival, and 1,000 kilometers away,” he states, highlighting that early Dutch settlers encountered only the Khoi and San (Bushmen) in the Cape. By then, whites had established generations of presence. This revelation, captioned “When were black tribes first encountered in South Africa?

This whole stolen land, colonization issue is a lie and a farce,” strikes at the heart of Marxist propaganda pushed by the ANC and global elites. From a conservative viewpoint, it’s time to set the record straight: white Europeans, particularly the Dutch, settled and developed vast swaths of South Africa long before Bantu migrations brought black tribes southward, making Afrikaners the true indigenous builders of the nation. The history begins in 1652 when Jan van Riebeeck, on behalf of the Dutch East India Company, established a refreshment station at the Cape of Good Hope—now Cape Town—to supply ships en route to the East Indies.

At that time, the Cape was sparsely populated by the nomadic Khoi (herders) and San (hunter-gatherers), often collectively called Bushmen, who had no centralized societies or claims to vast territories. There were no Bantu peoples—the ancestors of modern Zulus, Xhosas, and others—in the region. These groups originated far north, around modern-day Cameroon, and migrated southward over centuries due to wars, conflicts, and population pressures on the African continent.

Estimates place their first significant incursions into what is now South Africa around the 1700s, well after white settlers had tamed the land. Conservatives have long argued that this timeline exposes the fraud of “land expropriation without compensation” policies under the ANC, which paint whites as eternal “settlers” and invaders. As one analysis notes, “White settlers arrived in South Africa before most of the Bantu blacks (e.g., Zulus) who live there today.” When Dutch settlers landed in 1652, the Cape was inhabited only by the San Bushmen and Khoikhoi; the Bantu/Zulu peoples were still far north and only reached the Fish River (near the modern Eastern Cape Province) in 1770, over a century later.

This means whites were pioneering the interior—often described as “largely empty” and “uninhabited wasteland”—while Bantu groups were still expanding from the north. The highveld plains, at altitudes of 5,000 to 7,000 feet, were rugged and inhospitable, yet white farmers (Boers) tilled the soil, built infrastructure, and discovered resources like diamonds and gold. By the 1830s, facing British colonial pressures, Afrikaners embarked on the Great Trek, a mass migration of thousands into the interior to escape oppression and establish independent republics. This epic journey, commemorated by the Voortrekker Monument, saw them traverse over 1,000 miles into near-deserted lands. In 1838, at the Battle of Blood River, 464 Voortrekkers miraculously defeated an army of over 10,000 Zulus after Zulu King Dingane betrayed and slaughtered their leader Piet Retief and 70 men.
The Afrikaners fulfilled a vow by building the Church of the Vow in 1841, underscoring their deep faith and resilience. These events solidified their claim: they weren’t conquerors subjugating natives but pioneers cooperating where possible and defending against aggression. Over generations, Afrikaners developed a unique identity, blending Dutch, German, French Huguenot, and even some local influences into a distinct culture. Their language, Afrikaans, evolved with words not found in Dutch, reflecting adaptation to the African landscape. As one conservative outlet puts it, “White South Africans have been native for more than 350 years; whites were farming South Africa continuously.”

They built cities, railroads, dams, and a first-world economy comparable to Europe—transforming a barren frontier into prosperity. Blacks only migrated en masse to the interior after mineral discoveries, seeking work in mines and farms established by whites. This history debunks the radical left’s “stolen land” rhetoric, which ignores that Afrikaners arrived contemporaneously with or before many Bantu groups. “Whites settled in South Africa at around the same time the Bantu migrated,” notes a pro-white advocacy piece, emphasizing that both were migrants to the region. The Khoi and San were the original inhabitants, but their nomadic lifestyle left much land unclaimed. Afrikaners didn’t “colonize” in the imperial sense; they sought freedom, rejecting slavery in manifestos like Piet Retief’s, and aimed for cooperation with locals.

Yet, under black rule since 1994, whites face genocide-level threats: farm murders, land grabs, and discrimination, with the ANC blaming “apartheid’s legacy” for their failures. Conservatives see this as a warning for the West: unchecked migration and anti-white policies lead to collapse. South Africa thrived under white innovation but now crumbles with corruption, blackouts, and economic ruin. President Trump’s executive order targeting racist land grabs recognized Afrikaners as persecuted, offering potential refuge. Calls for an Afrikaner homeland, akin to Israel, gain traction—after all, if Jews deserve self-determination, why not the “white tribe” rooted for centuries? The evils besetting South Africa—blamed on “apartheid”—stem from Bantu education systems and tribal conflicts, not white “settlers.”
Afrikaners fought British imperialism in two Boer Wars, proving their independence. Today, places like Orania, a white-only town, preserve this heritage amid chaos. As hatred of whites persists, conservatives argue for recognition: Afrikaners are indigenous, their blood and sweat forged the nation. Ignoring this invites the same fate elsewhere—diversity as weakness, not strength. In essence, the X video’s truth bomb exposes a farce: whites didn’t steal land; they pioneered it. Bantu arrived later, benefiting from white-built infrastructure. Time for the world to acknowledge Afrikaners’ rightful place, before South Africa’s tragedy becomes global.

Lara Logan broke down the history that few are willing to touch. She explained that the Afrikaans people have no other homeland. Their language, their identity—everything about them is rooted in South Africa. They’re not transplants. They’re descendants of Dutch settlers who arrived centuries ago, before the British ever did. She pointed out that history isn’t as neat as today’s narratives pretend. Tribes fought each other for land long before Europeans arrived. “As long as human beings have been on Earth, there has been competition for resources,” she said. And when the Afrikaner farmers ventured out, they didn’t seize established towns or kick people off titled land—they made something out of wilderness. “They were pioneers,” she said, who turned barren fields into fertile farmland and now feed millions across southern Africa.

From the People

  • The Western ruling order created the conditions for the genocide of White Afrikaners by vilifying them as a people for their system of Apartheid — even though this system was grounded on criteria based on Pure Reason. Boer intellectuals, or Afrikaner nationalists, articulated powerful arguments for Apartheid. We should learn from this intellectual legacy rather than condemn it, otherwise the White race will find itself without a homeland on this planet in a state of extermination. First: Afrikaners emphasized their unique cultural heritage, which they created on their own through centuries of struggle against both British colonialism, and violent African tribes. They were proud of creating their own homeland under very harsh frontier conditions. Second, they argued that integration with Black Africans would erode their language traditions and values. Apartheid was a means to protect Afrikaner identity from being overwhelmed by the far numerically greater Black population. The Afrikaners did not get any handouts. They fought British rule, and African groups like the imperialistic Zulu people. This gave them a strong sense of identity and a Darwinian awareness that survival required separation. Afrikaner intellectuals pointed to past interracial conflicts, such as the Anglo-Zulu War as evidence that coexistence led to violence. History has proven them right… – More at X Post
