• As german I can only laugh. Our military is a joke and not the Wehrmacht of 1941. It´s been underfunded and missmanaged for decades. Moral is rock-bottom, with severe manpower-shortages and and overaged.(20 000 personel short/average age of serving personel is 34) A huge administrative overhead strangeling everything in kilometers of red-tape and regulations. Infrastructure, like Barracks and bases, is in need of about 67 Billions to refurbish them since according to the Wehrbericht 2024 (Official Report on the status of the Military) The 100 Billion Euros special funding for the Bundeswehr (german military) established in 2022 hasn´t bought a single round ammunition yet. Politicians still argue how to spend it or it´s stuck in lengty procurement processes. Our military is lacking in so many crucial capabilities like drone-warfare and defense. Most equipment is in disrepair, mothballed or send to Ukraine. There are serious talks to reintroduce conscription since no german is willing to fight and die for our political elite who have openly expressed distain for Germany. So curb your Barabrossa vibes, in World War III Germany will be like France or Denmark in WW II.
• Russian-speaking regions voted to join Russia, this is an annexation, not an invasion. A referendum in Greenland to separate from Denmark is democracy, but when 4 regions votes to separate from Ukraine, it’s Russian meddling.
• On your own nato, this Canuck stands with my American friends. I renounce King Charles, I am disgusted with my own government which is captured in my opinion. I am not gonna die for these traitors in power. • If Europe wants to fight Russia let em. Don’t give Ukraine anymore of our tax dollars. If Zelensky wants to keep fighting Russia and other euro countries join him. Good luck but I wouldn’t help at all and pull out all US help.
• Fun fact of history: Kaliningrad used to belong to Germany, and it was called Konigsberg. Russia took it by force, and drove all of the native German inhabitants from the state, and gave their homes and land to ethnic Russians.
