• I hate how someone like me: a twenty-five year old vet, who’s been sufferin’ from seizures and been havin’ heart problems since 2022, has been unable to get any kind of assistance, except for a VA disability payment. But, I somehow don’t qualif for MEDICAID/MEDICARE, even though I collapsed just three days ago while just vaccumin’ my house, and I hate myself for it. But, I have to actively compete against people who just don’t want to work because, they have no ambition to want to strive and thrive? I hate people.

• Old guy here. As a retired professional health care provider, I saw people who needed Medicaid to pay for prescriptions. I also saw people who used Medicaid who had very expensive cell phones, much nicer than mine, and drove Chrysler 300M, while I drove a 2003 Toyota RAV4. Yes, there are people who need it, but also people who take advantage of it and abuse it.
• The only way an adult in this economy gets away with not having to work to survive is off someone elses labor, inheritance or government intervention.
• As a Black American I’ve been saying this needed to happen as years. You have three sometimes four generation of families living in the same section 8 housing. I know they are in my family. The real problem is once they start working and not needing assistance they won’t need Dems for handouts. Texas already has these rules to receive welfare. This is really about blue states allowing this abuse. Did you mean medicaid? Medicare is for social security or disability recipients. I am only asking because if there is something about Medicare in the bill I wanted to know.
• There’s a kid who lives near me. He was telling me that he wanted to get a job, but his mom told him if he did, she would kick him out that same day. He’s 18. He has no money because she keeps his disability checks. So he’d be homeless if he got a job. He told me not only is he on disability, but so is mom, and all four of his other siblings. Said mom has been all his life. I told him what she’s doing to him was psychological, mental and emotional abuse. I try not to speak with him anymore because I don’t want to get in the middle of it. I have a hard time keeping my mouth shut when I feel something like that is happening. I wonder how she will pull it off now? They are all obese. But, the only thing wrong with the kid I talked with is a learning disability. He still graduated high school. ️
