Trump’s Fight Against Fake News: The Wall Street Journal Letter Scandal. Trump is suing… No More BS! Clips and Story

The WSJ want us to believe, that Trump typed a birthday letter to Epstein in 2003, and then Trump hand drew a naked woman around the letter… And that this was never leaked over the last 22 years. It magically showed up today… And we are not allowed to see the letter…’
President Donald Trump has always been a target for what he calls “fake news.” Now, in July 2025, he’s fighting back again. Trump announced he’s suing the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) and others over a story about a supposed letter he wrote to Jeffrey Epstein. Epstein was a rich businessman who got in big trouble for serious crimes before he died in jail. The letter, which Trump says is totally fake, was part of a birthday book for Epstein’s 50th birthday in 2003. This story blew up on social media and news sites, but Trump calls it a “scam” and a “hoax” meant to hurt his image. Let’s break it down simply. The WSJ published an article on July 17, 2025, about a leather-bound book put together by Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s friend who is now in prison for helping him with his crimes. The book had funny or rude letters from Epstein’s famous pals for his birthday. One page supposedly from Trump had a hand-drawn picture of a woman and words like “Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.” It also said things like “we have certain things in common.” The WSJ said this showed Trump and Epstein were buddies back then. But Trump quickly fired back. In an interview with the WSJ itself, he said, “This is not me. This is a fake thing. It’s a fake Wall Street Journal story. I never wrote a picture in my life. I don’t draw pictures of women. It’s not my language. It’s not my words.”
Trump didn’t stop there. He warned the newspaper not to print the story, saying his team told them it was false. His aide, Karoline Leavitt, also contacted them ahead of time. But the WSJ went ahead anyway. That’s when Trump said he’s filing a lawsuit against the WSJ, its owner NewsCorp, boss Rupert Murdoch, and editor Emma Tucker. He compared it to other times he’s sued media outlets, like ABC and CBS, which had to pay big money for wrong stories about him.
On X (what used to be Twitter), Trump supporters exploded with anger. One user posted, “They published a fake, unsigned ‘letter’ in a naked smear campaign. Trump warned them. They ran it anyway. Now he’s suing and they deserve to pay every penny.”
Why do people think this is a “scam” by fake news? First, the timing is suspicious. Trump is back in the White House, fixing the economy and borders. Critics say the story came out now to distract from his wins. If the letter was real and bad, why didn’t it leak during his first term or the 2020 election? Trump pointed that out: “If this Epstein lie were true, it would’ve been leaked by Comey, Brennan, or Crooked Hillary YEARS ago.”

Second, the letter isn’t signed, and there’s no proof it’s from Trump. No handwriting experts checked it, and Trump says he doesn’t draw like that. It’s like accusing someone based on a rumor without facts.Fake news means stories that twist the truth or make up stuff to push an agenda. Trump has faced this a lot. Remember the Russia hoax? Media said Trump worked with Russia to win in 2016, but investigations found no proof. Or the Hunter Biden laptop story— outlets called it Russian lies, but it was real.
Trump has sued before and won. In 2023, his company Truth Social sued the Washington Post for $3.78 billion over false claims about fraud. They said the paper hid facts to hurt them.
Last year, he sued a pollster and newspaper for “election interference” with fake polls. These wins show media can be held accountable. On X, users called the WSJ a “filthy rag” that used to be great but now pushes lies.
One post said, “This wasn’t a ‘story.’ It was a manufactured smear, built on an unauthenticated letter with zero forensic backing.”
Even some news sites like the Daily Caller reported Trump’s side, saying he threatened the lawsuit right away.
This scandal hurts trust in media. High school students like you might wonder: How do we know what’s real? Always check multiple sources, look for proof, and see if the story fits a pattern. Trump says this is “narrative warfare,” where media attacks instead of reports.
If he wins the lawsuit, it could make outlets think twice before printing unproven claims. In the end, Trump’s lawsuit is about more than one letter. It’s his way to fight what he sees as endless attacks from “fake news” that try to scam the public. As he said, “They go to no ends to take President Trump down.” Whether you support him or not, this shows how media and politics mix in messy ways. Trump is betting the courts will prove him right, and many Americans are watching to see if justice wins.
NEW: Chris Cuomo *TORCHES* WSJ over Trump-Epstein story “I get that he’s p*ssed off. And he’s not wrong. This Wall Street Journal piece is a hack job!” “He says he didn’t write the birthday letter that they’re ascribing to him to Epstein for his 50th birthday. I mean, it’s so stupid!” “The Epstein story is about abusing kids who didn’t have the power or agency to do anything about it, that rich and powerful people may have known it was going on — and they got away with it.” “That’s the story! It’s not that Trump liked a scumbag.” “It doesn’t move the needle in the country.” “The letter is meaningless! You put out the piece anyway. And there’s no light on what really matters.”
