I wish I could say I’m shocked. I’m not. Am I stunned? Can’t even say that. The amount of money we are talking about deserves prison time, but there’s no one person to prosecute. It should be a non-partisan issue, but it seems the people who cast the votes in Congress have no problem with outright theft of taxpayer money. This may be due to the perception that Federal Government dollars are an unlimited spigot of money and who cares if some money gets lost to fraud and corruption.
