A TALE OF TWO BORDERS: Both Biden & Trump toured Texas today but saw very different scenes. Trump went to Eagle Pass, where 2,000 illegals have been caught in the last 5 days. Biden chose Brownsville for his photo-op where the razor wire, that he threatened to sue over, is actually keeping migrants out.

On Thursday, President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump both visited the U.S.-Mexico border, highlighting their differing views on immigration policy as the 2024 election approaches. Biden went to Brownsville, Texas, where he met with local leaders, Border Patrol agents, law enforcement, and frontline workers. He discussed a comprehensive immigration bill that was blocked in the Senate, partly due to Trump’s opposition. This bill aimed to improve border security and immigration processes by adding new personnel, increasing detention beds, funding more immigration judges, and installing drug inspection technology. It also proposed $1.4 billion to help cities and states manage the influx of immigrants, emphasizing a more secure, fair, and humane approach aligned with American values.
In contrast, Trump visited Eagle Pass, Texas, a few hundred miles from Brownsville, where he highlighted issues of crime and violence, blaming them on Biden’s policies. The visits underscored the political divide on immigration, with Trump portraying a chaotic border situation under Biden, while Biden pointed to the blocked legislation as a missed opportunity for bipartisan cooperation to strengthen border security and reform immigration practices.
Biden criticized House Republicans for not passing needed border funding and policy changes, arguing that Trump and his allies preferred to use the issue for political gain rather than solving the challenges. He called for a revival of the immigration package, presenting it as a robust solution to border security issues, and surprisingly invited Trump to collaborate on this effort, despite the political tensions and the unlikelihood of such cooperation in an election year.
Biden looks disoriented and feeble as he arrives to a desolate area of Border with no illegals.

Biden’s visit today isn’t about securing the border, it’s about securing votes. pic.twitter.com/vzBwUZrnS4

JUST IN: Biden travels to the Southern Border, where over 7 million migrants have crossed over illegally since he took office, and starts talking about the “Climate Crisis.” Donald Trump is talking about Laken Riley, a young woman who was killed last week by one of these migrants who crossed over illegally. Remarkable. – Collin Rugg
