From CNBC – New York Attorney General Letitia James, who has been conducting a civil investigation of former President Donald Trump’s company, is slated to make what her office is calling a “major announcement”. James on Wednesday sued former President Donald Trump, the Trump Organization, three of his adult children, and others for allegedly widespread fraud involving false financial statements related to the company. The lawsuit seeks at least $250 million in damages. James’ announcement comes nearly a week after The New York Times reported that she had rejected an offer from Trump’s lawyers to settle her probe of the Trump Organization, which is based in Manhattan.
