  • I use kratom for my fibromyalgia and for insomnia. But here’s the thing. I don’t use it ALL DAY EVERY DAY! I only use it when my symptoms flare up and traditional OTCs aren’t working. I’ve tried all the traditional treatments and they either make it worse or have really 1/2  JIG
  • A rare disagreement I have with Tucker, though I agree cannabis can be abused like anything else, but it isn’t toxic in and of itself. Our bodies have a cannabinoid system for a reason. – Johnny Freeze
  • You want to talk about out societal control through intoxicants, you need to consider just how destructive alcohol has been to society. Incidentally, marijuana has been illegal ona State level because of racism. See the 1930’s or Nixon’s war on drugs in the 70’s. – Gaz
  • Absolutely, but honestly, today’s cannabis is a whole different beast compared to the stuff back in the ’80s. Back then, THC levels were much lower, and the high was milder. Today’s strains are engineered to be way more potent, which can have stronger effects on the brain, especially for young men still developing. IMO ..  S68
  • I’m youngest of 6 kids (born 1968). 3 of my siblings got into pot early, 3 did not. -Of the 3 that did, 1 committed suicide & the other 2 dropped out of HS & struggle economically. -Of the 3 that didn’t, 2 are multimillionaires and the other is retired w/a thousand grand kids. – Brantley
  • Dr Amen. And Tucker. Increasingly these days young people are spending less and less time in the sunlight. That’s true for all of us. And damaging for all of us. But especially for young people with a developing brain. How does reduced sunlight hours factor into “brain damage”, especially for young people using weed? And also, at the same time, video game usage has skyrocketed, in a darkened room for hours, sedentary, maybe stoned, overstimulated brain from gaming, poor nutrition AND extended exposure to blue light from the screens and EXTENSIVE exposure to nnEMF impact your findings? – Weathertop
  • Oh yeah? That’s nice. Where is the same energy for alcohol? It kills and injures millions a year across the world and its sold in almost every store. Silence on that one though. – DSP
  • My late cousin, a physicist smoked marijuana every single day of his adult life to help him relax. He was by nature anxious. He was one of the smartest guys you’d ever know. Another relative, a very accomplished Fire Chief and City Counsel leader has been an avid pot smoker since he was in junior high. How marijuana effects your psyche depends on more than just inhaling the smoke. It depends on what going on in your bucket before you indulge. If there’s underlying psychosis in a user pot smoking can exacerbate those psychological challenges. For a solid majority of Marijuana users smoking grass is tantamount drinking a couple intoxicating alcoholic beverages. Sure you judgement is impaired but to contend it turns young men in psychotics is a huge stretch of the imagination. Perhaps you too have noticed how a lions share of friends, family or colleagues who’ve decided to quit the trip with or without rehab nearly always come up with some really clever way to blame the herb for all their previous woes. So I guess what I saying is I do kinda, sorta agree that this kind of behavior might be considered by mental health professions a symptom of some type of psychosis manifesting. – Benny C
