WOKE BS: Swiss man jailed for claiming (a fact) that biological sex can be determined by examining skeletal remains.

Emanuel Brünisholz, a Swiss wind instrument repairman from Burgdorf, was convicted in 2023 under Article 261bis of the Swiss Criminal Code (which prohibits public incitement to hatred or discrimination based on sexual orientation, among other categories) for a December 2022 Facebook comment.

His comment, responding to a post by Swiss politician Andreas Glarner, stated: “If you dig up LGBTQI people after 200 years, you’ll only find men and women based on their skeletons. Everything else is a mental illness promoted through the curriculum.”

The Bernese judiciary ruled that this constituted publicly belittling LGBTQ people in a way that violated human dignity, leading to an initial fine of 500 Swiss francs (about $580 USD), convertible to 10 days in prison if unpaid.

Brünisholz was interrogated by police on August 15, 2023, where he stood by his statement and described the LGBTQ community as “an extremist bunch” trying to silence him.

He appealed the conviction but lost at the Regional Court of Emmental-Oberaargau, incurring an additional 600 Swiss francs in court costs.
