Democrats’ Media Monopoly Crumbles: America Awakens to the Left’s Failures

One meme to rule them all. Trump crushes Democrats and their media with one meme.

In the latest chapter of Washington’s predictable drama, Democrats are once again trotting out their tired playbook on government shutdowns, demanding extravagant add-ons to budgets while pinning the blame on Republicans for any chaos that ensues. As detailed in a recent American Thinker piece, the left’s strategy is as old as it is transparent: Push for subsidies benefiting the elite, like those for higher-income Obamacare enrollees, and threaten to furlough federal workers if they don’t get their way. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s antics in early October 2025, shutting down the government over funding for transgender surgeries for minors, abortions, and illegal immigrants’ healthcare, exemplify this brazen approach. Yet, despite controlling over 90% of the mainstream media—which dutifully amplifies their narratives—the Democrats are floundering. Polls reveal a public increasingly fed up with progressive overreach, from economic mismanagement to cultural radicalism. America has had enough of the Left’s divisive tactics, and no amount of media spin can hide the cracks in their facade. The media’s stranglehold on information has long been the Democrats’ ace in the hole. Outlets like CNN, MSNBC, and The New York Times, often derided as extensions of the DNC, shape narratives to shield leftist policies from scrutiny. Google’s biased search results, as highlighted in the American Thinker article, frame shutdown threats as Republican-led defunding efforts, conveniently ignoring Democratic obstructionism.

This echo chamber, where over 90% of journalists lean left according to surveys, has historically swayed public opinion. But in 2025, that grip is slipping. Gallup’s latest poll shows trust in mass media plummeting to a record low of 28%, with only 18% of Republicans and 29% of independents expressing confidence. Americans are tuning out the propaganda, turning instead to alternative sources like podcasts, social media, and conservative outlets that expose the truth. Take the recent shutdown skirmish. Democrats demanded extensions of lavish subsidies, refusing to budge even as national parks closed and workers went unpaid. The media chorus blamed Republicans and President Trump, echoing the 2018-2019 playbook when Schumer forced a 35-day shutdown over border wall funding. But an NPR/PBS News/Marist poll revealed a twist: While Republicans bore more blame, Trump’s approval ratings held steady despite the turmoil, suggesting the public sees through the blame game.
Logic of the Democrat mainstream media..

This resilience points to broader disillusionment. A CNN poll from March 2025 pegged the Democratic Party’s favorability at a record low, with many Democrats themselves calling for stronger opposition to Trump—yet their leaders’ weakness only alienates voters further. Why the failure? The Left’s policies are out of touch with everyday Americans. Inflation under Biden-Harris lingered into 2025, eroding savings and wages. Open borders flooded communities with illegal immigrants, straining resources and fueling crime waves. Radical social agendas, from gender ideology in schools to defunding police, have sparked backlash. A Vox analysis admits Democrats’ “messaging problem” stems from avoiding conflict, but the real issue is their embrace of socialism-light policies that voters reject. A WHYY poll found many Democrats viewing their party as “weak and ineffective,” with respondents associating it with terms like “corrupt” and “out of touch.”

Even Boston Review laments the Democratic establishment’s crisis, with popularity cratering post-2024 election losses. Public pessimism runs deep. An AP-NORC poll in May 2025 showed Democrats deeply downbeat about their party’s future, six months after Trump’s victory. The Wall Street Journal reported the party’s lowest voter rating in 35 years, with Republicans leading on key issues like the economy and foreign policy. The Hill noted Democrats hemorrhaging support among white voters, a demographic crucial for swing states. Though Leftist Gallup showed a slight rebound in party affiliation by July, it masks underlying discontent—voters identify as Democrats but disapprove of their direction. On the cultural front, Americans are rebelling against the Left’s extremism. Far Left PBS News/NPR/Marist polls indicate nearly a third believe political violence may be necessary, a stark shift reflecting frustration with divisive policies. Leftist The New York Times/Siena survey highlights worries over unbridgeable divisions, with economic and immigration concerns topping the list—issues where Democrats faltered.

Gallup’s mood tracker shows subdued satisfaction, with crime and unity concerns rising under lingering left-wing influences in cities. The Hill’s poll reveals liberals more tolerant of violence, alienating moderates. Quinnipiac found 8 in 10 voters sensing a political crisis, blaming raw partisanship often traced to leftist identity politics. Trump’s unpopularity in some polls belies Democratic gains on immigration, but overall, the Left’s narrative is collapsing. AP-NORC post-assassination polls show Americans viewing the country headed wrong, attributing it to progressive excesses. YouGov data confirms younger liberals’ openness to violence, further eroding trust. Pew Research slams Trump’s tariffs but notes opposition stems from media hype, not reality. Globally, Pew shows few parties viewed favorably, but U.S. Democrats fare poorly. Social media amplifies this awakening. X users like Cindy Houk decry Democrats for indoctrinating via public schools, urging a wake-up from media brainwashing.
Tony Park exposes their distraction tactics to hide failing administrations. These grassroots voices bypass legacy media, fostering a conservative resurgence. The Left’s media dominance is no match for truth. As shutdowns loom, Americans reject the blame-shifting. Trump’s America First agenda resonates, proving the public has had it with socialism, division, and deceit. The 2026 midterms loom as judgment day for a party in denial. All of the fake polls noted above, that always overrepresent Democrats to taint their results and diminish the Republicans, fail miserably even with their own scams to make us believe they are real. The Democrats are declining fast and their can no longer hide it.
