After his hosting of the Kennedy Center Awards, President Donald Trump held a press briefing, acknowledging that despite his past conversations with Vladimir Putin, he likely cannot prevent attacks on civilians in Ukraine. “I’ve had a lot of good conversations with him. Then I go home, and I say that a rocket hit a nursing home, or a rocket hit an apartment building, and people are laying dead in the streets.” Trump blamed the Russia investigations under Democrats for straining US-Russia relations. “They all hated me… it was a hoax created by the Democrats, in particular Schiff and Crooked Hillary.”
