In yet another blatant attempt by the liberal media to smear President Donald Trump, the Wall Street Journal dropped a so-called “hit piece” on Wednesday, claiming Attorney General Pam Bondi informed Trump in May that his name appears in Jeffrey Epstein’s files. This comes amid the Department of Justice’s push to unseal grand jury transcripts from Epstein’s sex trafficking cases in three different courts. Conservatives know this is just the latest hoax in a long line of Deep State attacks designed to undermine Trump’s America First agenda, much like the fabricated Russia collusion narrative that plagued his first term. But the Trump administration isn’t backing down—DOJ officials are firing back with transparency measures, and Trump himself is launching a powerhouse libel lawsuit against the WSJ, proving once again that the fake news media can’t touch the resilient leader who continues to fight for American freedom.
According to the WSJ report, Bondi and her deputy briefed Trump at the White House, revealing that a “truckload” of Epstein documents mentioned his name multiple times, alongside other high-profile figures. However, Bondi emphasized that the information was “unverified hearsay,” and being named in the records is no indication of wrongdoing.
 This crucial detail exposes the WSJ’s agenda: sensationalize Trump’s name in connection with Epstein while burying the fact that there’s zero evidence of impropriety. Trump, who famously banned Epstein from Mar-a-Lago years before his crimes came to light, has always distanced himself from the pedophile financier. As White House spokesman Steven Cheung stated, “The fact is that The President kicked him out of his club for being a creep,” dismissing the story as “fake news stories concocted by the Democrats and the liberal media, just like the Obama Russiagate scandal.”
FBI Director Kash Patel echoed this, calling the report “smears and lies” aimed at undermining Trump, and noted that a July 6 memo from the FBI and DOJ confirmed no further investigation or prosecution was warranted.
Republican lawmakers, true to form, shrugged off this manufactured controversy. Rep. Ralph Norman told Politico, “We were with [Trump] last night. He’s fine. He’s gonna release everything,” highlighting Trump’s commitment to transparency despite the media’s witch hunt.
 This stands in stark contrast to the Democrats’ predictable outrage, as they seize on any scrap to attack the president who exposed their corruption. But as conservatives have long argued, these tactics only strengthen Trump’s base, who see through the leftist playbook of lies and lawfare. The Justice Department’s response has been swift and fiery, embodying the no-nonsense approach of the Trump era. Rather than cower, AG Bondi and her team are pushing forward with motions to unseal Epstein’s grand jury transcripts, directly countering the WSJ’s insinuations by promoting full disclosure.  Continued below the Post form X

Trump himself ordered Bondi to release “any and all pertinent” testimony a court would allow, and she affirmed, “President Trump — we are ready to move the court tomorrow to unseal the grand jury transcripts.”
 This move not only vindicates Trump but also exposes the hypocrisy of the media and Democrats, who spent years ignoring Epstein’s ties to figures like Bill Clinton while fixating on baseless smears against Trump. Expanding on this, Trump’s legal team has gone on the offensive, filing a massive federal libel lawsuit against the WSJ, its owner Rupert Murdoch, publisher Dow Jones, and reporters Khadeeja Safdar and Joe Palazzolo, seeking at least $10 billion in damages.
 The suit accuses the WSJ of “glaring failures in journalistic ethics and standards of accurate reporting,” particularly over claims of a 2003 birthday letter from Trump to Epstein that included a crude drawing.
 Trump blasted it as “false, malicious, and defamatory,” posting on Truth Social: “We have just filed a POWERHOUSE Lawsuit against everyone involved in publishing the false, malicious, defamatory, FAKE NEWS ‘article’ in the useless ‘rag’ that is, The Wall Street Journal.”

He eagerly anticipated deposing Murdoch, quipping, “I look forward to getting Rupert Murdoch to testify in my lawsuit against him and his ‘pile of garbage’ newspaper, the WSJ. That will be an interesting experience!!!”
This isn’t the first time the establishment media has tried to link Trump to Epstein without evidence. A timeline of their relationship shows they were acquaintances in New York social circles, but Trump cut ties around 2004 after a real estate dispute—well before Epstein’s 2005 accusations of sexual misconduct with minors. There’s no proof Trump was involved in any wrongdoing; in fact, he cooperated with investigations and banned Epstein from his properties. Conservatives point out the real scandals lie with Democrats like Clinton, who flew on Epstein’s plane multiple times, yet the media fixates on Trump to distract from their failures. The WSJ’s timing is suspicious, coming amid Trump’s soaring approval ratings and successful second term policies like border security and economic booms. As one conservative commentator noted, if there was real dirt, it would have surfaced during the Biden years or the endless impeachments.
Instead, this is another Russiagate-style hoax, where unverified claims are weaponized against a president who dares to challenge the swamp. Trump’s resilience shines through. Despite internal rifts and pressure from allies like Dan Bongino and Kash Patel urging full Epstein releases, Trump has tamped down infighting between the FBI and DOJ, focusing on unity and action.
 He even disowned fringe supporters obsessed with Epstein “bulls***,” claiming they were “duped” by Democrats to sow division.
 Polling shows his GOP support rising, proving these smears backfire. Ultimately, this episode underscores why Trump remains America’s champion.
The Deep State and fake news media throw everything at him—hoaxes, lawsuits, assassinations attempts—but he fights back harder, delivering wins for the people. By suing the WSJ and unsealing records, Trump exposes the truth, ensuring justice for Epstein’s victims while clearing his name. Conservatives rally behind him, knowing these attacks only confirm his strength against the corrupt elite. As Trump said, if Democrats had anything real, they’d have used it long ago.
