- Restoration should be automatic upon completion of your sentence. It shouldn’t have be on a case by case basis. That’s just a honey pot for lawyers , judges and the courts.
- Thank you Jared. I lost my rights at 19 due to a nonviolent felony. I’m working on a pardon right now, but I’m glad that other options are opening up too
- When i was 18 in 1994 i lost my 2a rights for assault that has been my only offense ever. It took me 30 years to finally get my 2a rights back. In March, i was able to walk into a gunstore and buy my 1st gun ever!!! What a feeling!
- If they are working to restore gun rights maybe they shouldn’t be taking people to court. The ATF used a breaker bar to remove a pin and weld suppressor in order to show the barrel was too short. There is no pin and weld that will hold up to that level of torque. With that test there are a lot of new felons now. Yet they are still in court with these actions.
- I did time for tax evasion, except I didn’t owe any taxes. But the IRS claimed, that that didn’t matter. It was very easy to prove my innocents but the court 1st district Rhode Island the infamous federal judge Mary Lisi disallowed all exculpatory evidence and actively acted as co-prosecution telling the jury that she will tell them what the law was and warned them not to look it up on their computers at home or else. All that needs to be done is to change the language on the firearms transaction form to reflect only violent felonies are prohibited.
- Anyone free in society should have all rights of a free person. Citizens of the US have many rights others around the globe desire. Maybe there should be limits for those on probation. Otherwise, why are you roaming free if you can’t be trusted?
- There needs to be a process for all currently prohibited people, regardless of what the allegations were and what the crime was charged as: misdemeanor or felony. If there is not a process for review for all current prohibitions, this is just a patronizing action.
- Now imagine if you went to a trial in which you were found NOT guilty & then found out that in this case FDLE ( Florida Department of Law Enforcement) apparently did not know what the NOT preceding guilty meant & had ( maliciously?) entered the wrong verdict into the database wrongly maligning ” you” ( Me) as a felon , when “you” (me) never were a felon ! & Then FDLE went to great & “malicious” efforts not to undo their “mistake” & correct the very easily verified correct verdicts that the clerk of courts had Now imagine that . I need not imagine as it really happened
- People in the third circuit already have their right restored things to the range case. Why should everybody else have to go through a process that could take weeks or months? The Supreme Court needs to get off h it’s ass and make it nationwide and make it immediate. Leave it up to politicians and they care less what timeframe people are on.
