• These loans should have never been granted nor the degrees created that can’t recover the cost in a 5-6 year period. Paying a hundred thousand for an education for a degree with no job market or compensation commensurate with the cost is and was stupid. The educational institutions should be held accountable – Troy
• Student loan debt like alimony and child support cannot be discharged. We should not encourage young children to go to college using primarily student loans. I think 140,000 for family may be low look at what a mortgage cost today and what a car costs. – K
• No sympathy. A fellow nurse I worked with bragged on not having to pay her loans during covid. Took 2 trips to the Bahamas, 2 to Montana to see he daughter, bought a horse and spent over 1 thousand dollars on a golden doodle. She’s now crying on fb daily she can’t pay them – Jac
