- Robots will be given an identity We were given an identity at birth. In a similar way, which although is not the point of the post, helps as analogy to understand our own self image to find authenticity. A few thoughts as a once military Chaplin, helping others unravel inner conflict or cognitive dissonance. A one minute read just might help someone. Stop believing in the external world (shed the snake skin or face mask so to speak) to find the kind inner voice that leads to peace of mind. It’s that simple, but very difficult to do in reality bc it’s like trying to walk on water in the physical world. But leaving the boat (the praise of the world) and walking on water can only be done in the mind. Few understand, but rather turn to organized institutions, community (tribe) or a guru that causes dependence. A divine or honest guru or institution would point to the inner kind voice as the guide and source to find peace (heaven) and to have others follow the same example, not the tribe. Few understand an end up following or putting their trust (faith) in the person, tribe or institution rather than the teaching. Evil or dishonesty entices or veils with fruits (the apple) promises rewards, salvation, provides social stimulation as a substitute for inner peace, creates tribalism, divides, but does it deceptively, appears as light, saintly, and teaches evil has horns (metaphor) so not to be discovered as counterfeit. The horns come clothed in many ways, and it’s “never my belief.” Most, if were born into another culture, 99% would have a that cultures beliefs. Once discovered, the borders that divide people will be torn and seeing others as one is key to a path of peace. Until seen, the guru or institution are like Pharisees (metaphor for “chosen”) that seek to divide others into anti groups and declare themselves as the true path to administer the rewards of peace. Peace is not For Sale and is not an external kingdom or business. It’s always has been the mind’s inner kind voice coupled with reason, intelligence and critical thinking to find truth. Peace of mind comes at a cost and sacrifice, the loss of the tribe and family support for rejecting the organized tribe’s world is found by few. It begins by being fully honest with self which requires critical thinking about the self. 99% of counseling is just helping a person get thru their own BS and the stories they tell themselves. If one is fully honest with themselves and have the courage to let the face mask go, they more likely will not need a therapist, guru or coach. It just takes honesty and courage about one’s own beliefs and lots of faith (when we no longer know what we think we know). But then again, most are not ready. Just be ready when you feel the promptings. Find a coach and not one that creates dependency on themselves or a belief or formula. Honesty is simple, that’s all it is. – Gary Batt
