- You can’t claim self defense in a fight you instigated.
- Kid wasn’t invited to the tent, wasn’t carrying legal, wasn’t in danger for his life, ran after killing the kid. Tim has lost grip.
- It was literally the victim’s tent and chairs. He requested the murderer leave. The murderer then opened the bag where he stored a knife of lethal length, and dared the owners of the tent to do something about his trespass. The murderer dared them to touch him. When they did to get him to leave the tent he escalated to lethal intent and action murdering the victim by stabbing him in the heart. This was unjustified because the murderer was already misappropriating property (the chair) and was asked politely to leave. No harmful action was taken against him and he was clearly not in fear of any action because he remained and dared action. Furthermore, the murderers dare was actually a threat showing his mental state of intending to harm with the knife, which the victim was totally aware of. The victim had clearly stated the his own desire as mere removal of the murderer. The victim did not raise fists, hit, or do any other threatening motion. He merely touched the murdererwho was sitting in his seat. The killing of the victim was NOT self defense. It was premeditated murder in the first degree.
- That’s not what happened. My daughter’s best friend was there and saw the entire thing happen. The kid said, “Go ahead, touch me, see what happens Austin didn’t really push him hard he simply pushed his shoulder with one finger. He didn’t push him back with any force at all. Absolutely nothing worth pulling a weapon out for. He could have simply walked away as he wasn’t even supposed to be there. As someone who daily carries in Texas, I’ve read and studied the laws on self-defense and when it’s appropriate to use deadly force and when it’s not. Every person who carries you should know your states laws in case you ever need to use your weapon. I want to be 100% assured that if a time ever comes, I won’t be going to prison. Equal force is the biggest thing here as to why it wasn’t justified. Someone using a finger or even a hand pushing your shoulder isn’t deadly force that can be reacted back with deadly force. Tim doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
- The point of grieving parents losing their child is being overshadowed by people looking for justification. This murder should’ve never happened.
- The proper comparison would’ve been, “Imagine a person went into someone’s house where no one knows who that person is and nobody told him to come, then when one of the people who live in the house tell the person to leave and tries to move said person out of his house, the person uses lethal force against the home owner.”. Is that justified self-defense? No.
- How can people argue this. The kid was under a tent that belonged to someone else. He was told to leave and he refused to. So they tried to make him leave and he stabbed the kid in the heart. It wasn’t self defense. It was evil. Wouldn’t surprise me if he did it to just get street cred. “I killed an upputy white kid and got off Scott free because I’m black” If their races had been swapped they’d be screaming for the death penalty. This whole thing is disgusting
- You don’t get to instigate the confrontation in the first place, refuse to leave and then basically DARE your target to touch you, then claim self defense when you murder them in cold blood for touching you. You could have just left. Or better yet, not invaded their space in the first place. Utter bollocks for these spineless cowards to try defend him as “poor black victim of bullying”.
