Market Crash Fearmongering BACKFIRES When These Financial Legends Speak Out

• Just like when someone goes to the casino, they tell you how much they won, but never tell you how much they have lost over the years.
• I was in a tobacco shop the other day in South Carolina, and they had CNN playing. They were talking about how Trump is “ruining the country.” This huge blue collar guy goes “Can you turn this trash off?” The Karen at the front desk said “No, other people want to hear what’s happening in this country.” The only two other employees then said they didn’t want to listen to it either, and then I chimed in as well, agreeing with them. She made a petulant sigh and shut it off entirely. Then the big dude gave her a little jab about what state she’s in, and if she feels the way she does, she should go back to where she came from. (No idea how he even knew)
• If Tariffs are so bad why do so many countries have them? Also, if the cost of tariffs gets past to the consumer, why do these countries cry so much about something that will cost them nothing?
• Being a 70’s and 80’s guy, I am all for the tariffs coming back. You used to get real interest rates at the banks on your money because there was real business going on in this country. That all changed when Ross Perot was running for president. Bush and Clinton sold us out and it’s been 25 years of hell. A whole generation has no clue what it means to have a booming economy but they are going to know what that means. But there is very REAL pain going on with these tariffs and my heart sincerely goes out to mom and pop stores that sell things like furniture and roofing materials. They are getting the brunt of this. They are going to take a hit like there is no tomorrow and I would love to see the government help these businesses out in the short term. These people are basically going to be making 33% of their pay over the next year.The government should provide short term loans to these mom and pop stores.
• I remember in 1995 when the DJIA first went over 4000 and that was a huge celebration. Now we are at ten times that. The government has printed so much paper fiat currency that numbers don’t mean much anymore when it comes to things like debt, deficit, and the Dow.
• How saddening it is to hear that career investors are losing a whopping 4% on the money they are trying to increase without any work.
