• At least she didn’t behave as if she was above the law and berate and belittle the officers. You know who I am!?! It’s sad & I’m glad no one was hurt.
• I pray she gets the help she needs. But if she is truly sorry, she will apologize to her constituents, resign quietly, pay her legal debt, and focus on her health/family. God bless this woman, even the mighty can fall..
• Don’t know about NJ, but in TX if you are charged with DUI with a minor in the car it’s a felony. Does not matter if it’s your first or tenth. Automatic felony charge.
• I feel bad for her, and I hope she gets some help. Holy Moses, driving your kid around like that, that will be a tough hangover with all the guilt and embarrassment. Thank the lord she did not hurt anyone; she is very lucky.
• No one at the “school” aka daycare for the 2 year old didn’t notice Gina Laplaca absolutely smashed when she picked up her kid? 2 year olds don’t meet you in the parking lot, certainly she went inside for him and no one noticed anything?! hmmmm~
• I hope they checked the car for a 16oz travel mug with vodka in it. She needs to be let go. And license removed. Tack on endangering a minor. She obvious hit something or someone and doesn’t remember?
• This makes me sad. I know she was totally in the wrong for drinking and driving with her son, I get that. She needs to resign, deserves to go to jail,and then treatment. She was polite and respectful to the officers. I hope she gets the help she needs.
• I’ll give her credit where credit is due. Even though she’s the mayor, she remained humble, receptive and apologetic. So many other cases of people in power trying to abuse of their status to weasel their way out of accountability.
• Gina Palaca blew 4x the legal limit and was transported to the hospital. She also had an expired license amongst the other many, many charges. Laplacas husband Jason Carty is defending his wife once again from these charges and says she’s getting help.
