8 years ago as I was caring for My late Mother. I applied for EBT/snap and was not able to buy junk food/soda or prepared foods. Now as I stand in line paying for My own food I see carts filled with junk and soda paid with EBT cards along with fast restaurants with “we accept EBT” signs on the doors as You enter here in Minnesota.
They are getting pay backs. You want junk food, buy it yourself. The only thing they are concerned about is their pocketbook.
Shame on the parents allowing their children to eat crap. My mom. Never allowed us to eat bad food. We weren’t overweight and not sick other than a cold once in awhile.
It’s gotten to a point where I feel like if trump or any of his team want to make something happen. They should just say the opposite. “More junk food for kids!” And their trump derangement would instinctively kick in.
Absolutely positively 100% agree food stamps should NOT cover junk food! I couldn’t be happier about this! God bless RFK!!!

It’s all just a scam. I remember seeing a drug company exec on Tucker Carlson’s show talking about all the drug commercials on TV. Tucker asked him how many drugs have been sold from those commercials, he said none. They just put the commercials up to give money to the networks so they don’t report any bad news about the drugs.
When you drink soda or eat ketchup or mustard or candy or …. you’re eating corn syrup or high fructose corn syrup. It’s some of the worst kind of added sugar. It’s also probably the cheapest.
I have made complaints time and time again here in Az about EBT cards and what people can buy with them! Before they were cards, they were called food stamps, and I would see my tax dollars being spent on carts full of chips,cookies, soda,candy, and other processed foods.
