- Spot on I have said almost the exact thing for years. Russia is not an enemy. The old Soviet Union yes, current Russia no. You might not like Putin or his methods of dealing with descent, but guess what the prior 4 years showed us similar behavior from our own Govt.
- I would rather have Russia as an ally than an enemy. Because I love America and I don’t want anymore of our soldiers to suffer and die in another needless war.
- There have been far worse dictators in this world than Putin but the liberals are still convinced that Putin sabotaged Hillary in 2016 and that is why Trump won. That is why they hate Putin so much.
- Facts! I feel we have been told a lot of lies about Russia! Every Russian person I have spoke to over the last decade loves their country and its leader. Seems sus, huh?
- No more money for Ukraine. Not one more damn dime or bullet. What could $350 Billion have done for victims of Hurricane Helene, the Maui Wildfire victims or the CA Willdfire victims. We have veterans who fought for our freedoms sitting homeless in the streets. Why would we give that arrogant little prick any additional support? We are $36 Trillion in debt and our children’s future is being squandered to support other ungrateful countries that are NOT our allies and in fact have become our dependents.

- Hey Saddam was our buddy, as was Osama. And doing statecraft with him doesnt mean he is our ride/die. After all-he presides over a rival nuclear power and major energy producer. SO yes he will get differential treatment; you have to acknowledge him. He is a trading partner with many nations we align with.
- China’s the new Russia. Not that we should ally with Russia but we should find some common ground with them. If we don’t China & Russian will continue to have a stronger relationship with one another. This is NOT in the best interest of the United States.
- After the USSR collapsed, we had wonderful relations with Russia, and many Americans traveled to Russia. Many business people went to Russia. Except as you said Russia was denied entry in to NATO.
- Well, truth is Russia was NEVER our enemy. The only real reason we call it an enemy now is because throughout the Cold War the United Soviet Socialist Republic was often simply called Russia. Every nation in the world will always have enemies, including the USA. Believe it or not, right now, Israel is about our ONLY real ally in this world. Trump will be the best thing for the USA in the next four years. Peace through Strength is the only to keep that peace, because unless you guard what you have and love, you will lose it.

- This made entirely too much sense. I think the truth would be that Russia doesn’t care to join NATO or ally with anyone that doesn’t share their ideals. They want to be left alone. They want to preserve their heritage, their culture. And with the mainstreaming of the more ignorant radical western ideologies encasing their borders gaining steam. Sweeping across the world. I understand their perspective. I get it. They are a just a bear we like to poke. I will say that this whole Ukraine ordeal takes quite a bit of the attention away from the whole Chinese/Taiwan thing. But that’s a topic for a different day I reckon. – JustJames
