His administration openly colluded with social media platforms to suppress dissent, deplatform conservatives, and push government-approved narratives. Now, foreign nations are trying to do the same, and some tech companies are more than willing to comply. Enough is enough. If these corporations want access to American markets and talent, they should respect free speech—or lose their privileges. This is the kind of aggressive action that should have been taken years ago. For too long, Silicon Valley has acted like a global enforcement arm for leftist regimes, silencing inconvenient truths under the guise of “content moderation.” The Trump administration is putting an end to it. America should never allow foreign influence to dictate the boundaries of free expression. The days of tech elites censoring Americans while enjoying free access to the U.S. are over.
