• I live in Connecticut and can attest to this. The electric bill we got in mid-January was $620! We’re in a 1,000 sq ft apartment that has all-electric heat, but the average temperature outside for the month of this bill was 40 degrees. I’m seriously afraid to see how much the bill will be that we get in a couple of weeks. It’s been a lot colder here this past month (30s, 20s, teens and single digits outside). The “public benefits” part of the bill is a surcharge of 30% (!!!!!!) …. for EVERYONE. It’s disgusting, and I wish President Trump could do something about this.
• Time for someone to do a deep dive into Eversource, their PAC and recipients, the automatic biweekly payroll deductions from senior level execs, one of whom is VERY closely tied to one of Blumenthals pre-primary opponents, an overview of the annual reports specifically those that outline their involvement in offshore wind, etc. Oh, and don’t forget to include how many times senior members of the previous administration were in CT, and who they met with.
