Embarrassing (To Say the Least) ๐Ÿ˜‚ The Results Are In on Brian Stelter

Brian Stelter’s New Book Falls Short of Expectations as Sales Disappoint

Brian Stelter, former CNN host and media commentator, recently released his book titled “Network of Lies,” targeting Fox News and its role in former President Donald Trump’s election fraud claims. Despite high expectations among critics of Fox News, the book’s sales have been underwhelming, with only 3,807 copies sold in its first week, a significant drop compared to Stelter’s previous book, “Hoax,” which sold 20,832 copies in its debut week.ย  Continued below the video

Stelter’s book delves into the alleged role of Fox News in spreading Trump’s election fraud claims, describing it as a “chilling story.” The book highlights how Trump could not have convinced millions of Americans of the “Big Lie” without Fox News. Stelter contends that Fox hosts fueled misinformation and violence by promoting Trump’s false election fraud narratives and suppressing the truth. The book addresses the events following Joe Biden’s election victory and the storming of the Capitol by Trump supporters, blaming Fox News for its role in these developments.

Despite the anticipation surrounding Stelter’s book, it failed to secure a spot on The New York Times’ bestseller list and ranked as the 7,077th best-selling title on Amazon at the time of this report. While “Network of Lies” did not meet expectations, it managed to outsell Michael Wolff’s anti-Fox book, “The Fall: The End of Fox News and the Murdoch Dynasty,” which sold 3,219 copies in its first week when it was released in September.

One notable aspect of Stelter’s media critique is his focus primarily on Fox News while sparing other news outlets from similar scrutiny. Stelter rarely criticizes the mainstream media for their missteps and errors, even when they commit similar reporting mistakes. This raises questions about media responsibility and the consistency of Stelter’s critique.

A recent example of such inconsistency is the Rainbow Bridge car explosion incident. Fox News reporter Alexis McAdams, citing authorities, reported it as a potential act of terrorism, but the FBI’s involvement and the terrorism angle were later dropped, and the matter was handed over to local police. Despite McAdams relying on information from authorities, Fox News faced criticism for disseminating false information. Stelter, in line with his pattern of critique, accused Fox News of lacking editorial oversight.

However, Stelter rarely extends such criticism to other news outlets. For instance, during the recent conflict in Gaza, numerous media outlets rushed to report Israel’s alleged bombing of a hospital, resulting in hundreds of deaths. These reports were later proven to be inaccurate, with the hospital remaining untouched, casualties being far lower, and the ordinance originating from inside Gaza. Both incidents involved real-time reporting errors, but the broader media complex faced significantly less scrutiny compared to Fox News.

To sum it all up: Brian Stelter’s latest book, “Network of Lies,” has fallen short of expectations in terms of sales despite its focus on Fox News and its role in spreading Trump’s election fraud claims. Stelter’s critique of media appears inconsistent, with a disproportionate focus on Fox News while sparing other news outlets from similar scrutiny. This raises questions about media responsibility and the fairness of Stelter’s critique.

Here’s the View trying to push this person….ย  Was Tucker Carlson shocked of his firing from Fox News? “He was shocked but he shouldn’t have been shocked,” @brianstelter ays. “It’s always men who think they can get away with this. They act invincible, they act untouchable, precisely to cover up their own vulnerability.”
