Liberals hate Thanksgiving Day because they hate the West and America, in general.

I believe Thanksgiving sucks, but only because of the food.

Turkey, stuffing/dressing, and pumpkin pie are gross.

That is why you never eat it any other time of year.

• If you ever watch the movie Last of the Mohicans, that massacre scene at the end really happened. As the British abandoned the fort and were marching on their way back to Fort Edward in northern NY, they were attacked by Native Americans allied to the French. What you see in the movie is nowhere near as bad as it really was because while the British could keep their guns, they weren’t allowed any powder to shoot them. What happened was not only a massacre, but some 500 men, women and children were captured by the Huron & other northern tribes who were promised to take what they wanted when the British were defeated and then were denied that by the French. Eventually, the British were able to ransom SOME of those prisoners back, but many, at least 90 or so, were forced to live out there lives somewhere as slavery. From roughly 1601-1710 there was something called the Iroquois Wars, also known as the Beaver Wars because beaver pelts were the number one trade item at the time. This took place between the Iroquois, my people and every other tribe in the area for the most part. The Iroquois wiped out tribes completely, some no longer even exist now. One of the things the Iroquois and French aligned tribes would do, is to replenish their numbers, they would raid settlements and kidnap men, women and children and they would keep them and over time, adopt them into the tribe as members, but these people were never allowed to go home again. With the Iroquois, they were called “Mourning raids” because they were to replace members of the tribe who may still be being remembered. One of the most famous Native American warriors in American history was Quanah Parker. Parker was a Comanche war chief, whose mother was a white woman named Cynthia Ann Parker who was kidnapped by the Comanche who attacked Fort Parker, massacred most of the adults and took Cynthia Ann who was only 9 years old. Parker was later assimilated into the tribe and married a Comanche warrior. There is this image among white liberals and Native Americans who haven’t been taught their own heritage that they think Native Americans were just peaceful environmentalists communing with nature. Nothing could be further from the truth. The Mohawk from the mid 1600’s up to the French & Indian War were the most powerful fighting force on the continent, even the British were scared of them. The British would trade with the Mohawk, giving them what they wanted to keep them happy, even having white men living with the Mohawk to find out exactly what they want and need at all times. Later as the country expanded, the tribe to be feared out west wasn’t the Comanche, it was the Blackfeet. As someone who is Akwesasne Mohawk, I understand fully about my heritage and no, my ancestors hands weren’t clean in what was going on in those days either. – Bryan 1905
• I’m Native American, on both sides of my family; Cherokee & Dutch on Dads side, Creek & German on Moms side. All of my uncles served in the military, from WW2 – Vietnam. Dad was awarded the Bronze Cross for heroism in Korea. I served in the Navy & both my brothers served as well. I’m going to drive over 100 miles to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family & we’re having a huge turkey & barbecue. Thank you White Man!!!!!
• I’m part Indian as I’m sure soo many of us are, but I’m extremely thankful for all that we have in America today. I always loved Thanksgiving, it’s actually my favorite holiday. It’s just about being thankful for family and the bountiful food that we still have. I’m unsure of the future here in the great US of A but as long as we have Jesus and strong men and women who love this country and are willing to stand up for it I believe that we may have a fighting chance. Thank you to all of the white men who have helped build the infrastructure and all else they’ve done. Law and order is very important for a society to survive.
